| Comments: We found it a bit of mission to find this place, but only really because we were on foot with big backpacks and we were pretty disorganised. when we got there however we were pleasantly surprised - very friendly, secure and very clean which is always good when it comes to hostels. Very family friendly and basically every facility you could possibly need. |

| Comments: really cool building. A bit of a walk from the town center, but easily manageable and in a nice area. Staff was friendly and helpful, all in all a good place to stay the night. |

| Comments: The breakfast and restaurant at this hostel were wonderful, and it offered great deals for its visitors. It is, however, about a 20-minute walk from the town centre, which was a bit cumbersome at times. For anyone on a budget, however, I would highly recommend it! |

| Comments: More like a B&B than a hostel. Amazing cooker breakfast! Also serve great dinners. In a quiet area but an easy walk to the centre. Very comfortable and clean. |

| Comments: The place has a good feel to it and all of the things your average traveller is looking for are provided. The walk there isn't the shortest but it's not unreasonable unless you're carrying too much stuff. Supplied breakfast is good! Would recommend it! |

| Comments: I had a good stay at this hostel. There are somethings you can't control (ie very loud groups of kids running around outside your door for 5 hours straight), so just come prepared! Breakfast was nice and hearty, nice kitchen to use. Walk to town is not bad at all. Rooms are a bit institutional, but hey it's a place to sleep! |

| Comments: Very safe, clean, family friendly hostel. Could have been slightly more fun for us young travellers. A bit out of town, but the walk along the river is gorgeous - just don't go alone at night! Staff were super friendly and rooms very comfortable. |

| Comments: I know that most of people go to York as tourists, but I was attending a workshop in the university... So I had to eat my breakfast in 5 minutes in order to get to the university a bit before 9am... Regardless this, the place is great, not very central, but still great. Maybe you could explain better in the website which are the benefits in being a member of YHA, as this is the seconf time that I stay in a YHA and I have no idea how the membership works.
Cheers! |
